As a Technician II – AV with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively
review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation
blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete
installations.
This role requires the ability and know-how to properly complete the
installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of adjusting or
finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client
satisfaction.

sites throughout the region.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform installation and servicing of cabling infrastructure and audiovisual
devices, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, labelling,
and reporting in accordance with specifications and drawings.
- Independently install and configure audiovisual systems such as video
conferencing, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement,
control systems, public address/announcement systems, and related
presentation technologies.
- Provide professional on-site support by interacting with customers and team
members, ensuring technical issues and inquiries are addressed effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company and site-specific safety procedures,
including proper use of PPE and timely incident reporting.
- Complete accurate, detailed documentation of work performed, including test
results, service reports, and system records.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians, supporting knowledge
transfer and skill development.
- Be available to work evening or night shifts when required, based on project
or service needs.
- Be available for on-call support outside of regularly scheduled hours when
needed.
- Consistently maintain safe work practices and demonstrate professionalism in
all job-related activities.
- Work at required heights using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other
equipment.
- Perform tasks in confined spaces when necessary.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to support the project and service
delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and
accuracy.
- Flexibility to work in diverse environments, including active construction
sites and completed office spaces.
- Minimum 2–4 years of direct audiovisual installation experience, or
equivalent technical experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction
environments.
- Proficient in working at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with the capacity to work independently
under minimal supervision.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industry certifications such as CTS or CTS-I, or manufacturer certifications
(Crestron, QSC, Extron, BiAmp) are considered a strong asset.
- Post-secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or a
related field is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and
stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle,
feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power
tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee
must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to
work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet).

Pay Range: $26.68 - $35.84 D.O.E
