Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is a key finance leader responsible for driving budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting across our national branch network. Supporting the Director of Finance, and partnering closely with regional and corporate teams, this role provides essential insights that shape operational and financial outcomes.
This is a high-impact role that blends tactical execution with strategic insight. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading through complexity, building scalable processes, and translating data into clear, actionable business guidance across a dynamic, multi-location environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
Working with the Director to lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all 26 branches and the corporate office.
Prepare rolling forecasts incorporating operational inputs, market trends, and regional performance indicators.
Align financial plans with company-wide strategic objectives and provide variance commentary to leadership.
Performance Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and deliver monthly P&L reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages.
Analyze financial results and operational metrics, identifying key drivers of performance and variances, providing pro-active business insights.
Be a strong business partner, collaborating with RVP, regional GMs and functional leaders to understand trends, optimize spend, and improve profitability.
Business Support & Financial Modeling
Champion Pricing, job costing, and margin analysis to enhance decision-making and profitability. Including leading process to govern and manage PriceBook maintenance and evaluation of pricing decisions across the business collaborating with Operations, IT, and Finance.
Provide financial modeling to evaluate initiatives, support growth planning, and assess risks and opportunities.
Contribute to capital planning, cost initiatives, and project evaluation at the regional and corporate levels.
Process Optimization & Systems
Improve planning and reporting processes for greater accuracy, speed, and scalability.
Ensure alignment and accuracy across ERP, financial reporting, and BI tools (e.g., ServiceTitan, Power BI).
Drive adoption of financial dashboards and self-serve reporting across leadership teams.
Ad Hoc & Strategic Projects
Support financial aspects of M&A activity including integration modeling, valuation, and performance tracking.
Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives requiring finance input (e.g., sales effectiveness, workforce planning).
Prepare executive-level presentations and materials for board meetings and investor communications.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA or MBA preferred.
7+ years of progressive FP&A or business finance experience, ideally in a multi-location or service-based environment.
Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis skills with experience supporting operations and leadership teams.
Experience in HVAC, construction, home services, field services, or private equity-backed organizations is a strong asset.
Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills; experience with Power BI and ERP systems (e.g., ServiceTitan, Sage/Intact, NetSuite) preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
Strong Business Partner experience, organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
