Position Summary
Reporting to the Technical Records Manager, the Technical Records Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized maintenance records and documentation of Perimeter’s fleet of airplanes, ensuring that daily collection of aircraft logs and maintenance work is recorded and maintained in compliance with Canadian Aircraft regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Maintain and update aircraft technical records, including but not limited to, all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and modifications performed per aircraft
Enter data into an electronic maintenance tracking system
Organize, file and maintain physical copies of aircraft flight logs and maintenance documents
Ensure that all Maintenance paperwork is up to date, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to technical logs, journey logs, task cards, part tags, modifications, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, etc.
Audit all Maintenance technical records for accuracy, completeness and adherence to regulations
Audit completed tasks for Supplemental Structural Inspection Document (SSID) and Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance
Assist in updating SSID and AD intervals based on regulation, maintenance completed and faults found
Support internal and external audits and inspections
Research the inspection requirements for any new components, implement set up and determine re-inspection intervals
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
Post secondary education in aircraft technical records or equivalent experience in a related field
Previous experience with an Aviation Management Software (WinAir preferred)
Minimum two years’ technical records experience
Familiar with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airworthiness requirements
Familiar with the ATA system and aircraft maintenance terminology
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
