We are looking for a detail-oriented Global Benefits, Health & Safety Specialist to join our HR team. This full-time, permanent position is based in our downtown Vancouver office and plays a vital role in supporting our people with care, accuracy, and responsiveness.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who puts people first. Your role will be approximately 60% Global Benefits, 30% Health & Safety, and 10% HR support. You’ll help shape and deliver a best-in-class global benefits program across Canada, the US, and international expatriate regions, while also leading our Health & Safety initiatives to ensure a safe and supportive workplace.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Benefits & Pensions
Administer Canadian, US, and expatriate benefit and retirement programs, including health, dental, disability, life, travel, EAP, and RRSP/401(k), and serve as the primary contact for employee questions.
Manage benefits eligibility, updates, and leave programs, including new hires, terminations, life event changes, and disability claims, while providing guidance for expatriate employees on international assignments.
Work with payroll to reconcile benefit premiums and billings.
Lead the annual benefits renewal and approval process in partnership with brokers and the CPO.
Manage vendor relationships, compliance requirements in all operating regions, and program audits.
Deliver clear, employee-focused communications, orientations, and training sessions on health, retirement, and financial wellness.
Provide data analytics, reporting, and insights to enhance program competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and employee experience.
Collaborate with HR colleagues and Global Support teams to align benefits programs and ensure smooth processes across regions.
Health & Safety
Act as the first point of contact and champion for workplace health, safety, and wellness programs across the organization.
Manage workplace incident and injury reporting, investigations, and corrective actions, and maintain OSHA and WorkSafeBC reporting requirements (Forms 300/300A, quarterly injury and illness reports, etc.).
Oversee compliance with ISN, Avetta, and client Health & Safety requirements, keeping certifications, policies, and insurance documentation up to date.
Coordinate drug and alcohol testing (DISA and non-DISA), pre-access medicals, and other testing or training as required.
Update and maintain company Health & Safety policies, procedures, manuals, and documentation.
Deliver Health & Safety training for all new employees.
Support office safety readiness by maintaining first aid kits, safety equipment, and emergency preparedness, and by coordinating first aid training.

To qualify for this role, you must have:
5+ years of experience in benefits administration, with demonstrated knowledge of Canadian and US benefits and pensions (RRSP / 401(k)).
2+ years of HR administration experience.
Familiarity with corporate Health & Safety administration, such as OSHA, WorkSafeBC, ISN, reporting requirements, testing programs, or safety certification coordination.
HRIS experience (BambooHR preferred).
Strong data analytics skills, including proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
