Job Description: The Salvation Army Canada & Bermuda Territory is seeking an experienced HR Technology leader to guide the post–go-live sustainment, stabilization, and continuous improvement of our Workday HCM platform. This is a strategic leadership role overseeing system performance, data integrity, governance, and a growing HR Technology team. As the Director, HR Technology, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our HR systems empower managers, employees, and leaders across the territory while advancing our mission of hope, dignity, and service. Key Accountabilities: Provide strategic oversight of Workday HCM to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Lead the sustainment and stabilization of Workday post–go-live, ensuring high system availability and reliability. Optimize system functionality to enhance automation, self-service, and reporting capabilities. Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of HR data through audits, monitoring, and proactive controls. Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to deliver effective technology solutions and improvements. Manage external vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery and value. Oversee the successful rollout of Workday enhancements and other HR technology projects. Build, lead, and mentor a team of HR Technology professionals, fostering service excellence and innovation. Develop and mature HR analytics to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. Act as the primary point of contact for HR technology governance, audits, and change control. Key Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, HR, or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience). 10+ years of HRIS/IT systems management experience with deep expertise in Workday HCM. Strong track record in post–go-live sustainment, stabilization, and system optimization. Experience ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, provincial, and unionized environments. Proven leadership and people management experience with the ability to build high-performing teams. Strong project management skills and familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies. Demonstrated vendor management experience with SaaS providers and integrators. Advanced analytical and data skills, with the ability to translate insights into strategy. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management skills. High integrity, discretion, and sensitivity in handling confidential information. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $135,102.26 to $168,877.83 with a maximum of $202,653.39. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
