Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Main Bank Cashier!
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Main Bank Cashier will be responsible for the operations and transactions within the main bank. The Main Bank Cashier must demonstrate utmost integrity and the highest caliber of service to all internal patrons at the Great Blue Heron Casino.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times
Responsible for safeguarding inventory of the assigned area.
Ensure all in-house transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
Ensure all Cage, Company and ICM policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure all paperwork is completed in a neat, concise and accurate manner.
Responsible for all cage transactions during the shift which include but not limited to:
Process, balance and verification of all related paperwork received from cashiers and/or Supervisors in exchange for cash
Prepare and balance floats
Prepare fill and balance Kiosk including data input and completing all related paperwork and documentation for main sheet.
Responsible for gaming and slot buys and prepare bank deposits/order cash
Maintain high level of accuracy to stay within variance guidelines
Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure professional image is portrayed to internal/external patrons at all times
Other duties may be assigned by the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year previous banking/money handling skills preferred
Strong basic mathematical skills including computer knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Ability to life, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects up to 40 lbs
Work with tools or equipment pertaining to job requirements
Ability to stand for extended period of time, bending and kneeling as required.
Excellent customer service skills to maintain good rapport with customers and employees
Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits
The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
