The Data Analyst, Merchandising role provides analytical support across Brand,
Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to deliver high-impact insights and
reporting that drive business strategy.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Merchandising, this role performs
in-depth exploration, modeling, and analysis to enable supplier and category
reporting and insights. In addition, the analyst will serve as a subject matter
expert on AI and automation, championing tools and processes that enhance team
efficiency and unlock new capabilities.

through data-driven decision making.

What You'll Do:

Advanced analytics:
-
Lead analytics investigations and special projects for the Supplier
Organization, collaborating with cross-functional partners to define
requirements, develop statistical models, and deliver insights that shape
brand, merchandising, and category strategies.

Design and execute advanced analytics models and tools — such as assortment
clustering — to inform strategic decision making

Manage the analytics intake and prioritization process, ensuring alignment
with business objectives and visibility into project status.

Reporting & Ad hoc analytics:
-
Define, design, and develop dashboards and reports for key metrics and KPIs,
using BI tools and data languages to drive performance visibility.

Build and maintain supplier reporting, including dashboards and data shares,
to strengthen supplier relationship management and joint business planning.

Deliver timely ad hoc analysis to support evolving business needs, while
ensuring the integrity, usability, and consistency of data across multiple
sources and business units.

Automation

Act as subject matter expert for AI and automation within the Supplier
Organization, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance
reporting, and unlock team productivity.

Partner with stakeholders to pilot, implement, and support adoption of
efficiency tools that improve accuracy and scalability of analytics
deliverables.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g.,
Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) with 3+
years of experience in an analytics or data-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (including transformations and query optimization)
and Python
- Experience applying advanced analytics techniques (e.g., clustering,
regression, predictive modeling) to uncover insights and support business
strategy.
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools
(e.g., Looker) to design dashboards, KPIs, and self-serve reporting.
- Familiarity with automation, AI tools, or scripting for process improvement
and efficiency gains is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable
insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving
skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working
cross-functionally to align on priorities and deliver results.
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, or supplier/vendor analytics is
considered an asset.
