Job Posting: Maintenance Person in Beautiful Northern BC
Our agency is expanding, and we are hiring a maintenance person to support our centre and help maintain each location.
We are looking for a maintenance person to join our team as a casual employee at our agency. This position entails prioritizing and completing maintenance requests as needed. The maintenance person would work as part of our team to support staff in providing services and maintaining a safe environment for the community.
The position is a permanent casual position. May be required to work evenings and weekends.
Wage: $25.41 - 30.11 per hour.

Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repair work on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
Carry out basic carpentry tasks such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, and installing fixtures.
Conduct routine plumbing work like updating fittings.
Handle electrical tasks such as installing switches, replacing plugs, replacing light bulbs and performing minor appliance repairs.
Assist with painting, drywall repair, and application of finishing materials (e.g., linoleum).
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment as needed.
Provide quotes and timelines for maintenance requests and arrange vendor quotes.
Maintain safe working practices and ensure compliance with facility and safety standards.
Perform other duties as assigned to support building and equipment upkeep.
Prioritize and complete staff maintenance requests as needed to prevent interruptions to community services.
Supply tools required to complete tasks.
Provide general clean-up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the work area.
Report any maintenance concerns with the equipment.
Demonstrate ability to manage equipment, and labour to foresee work planning needs and requirements.
Engage and participate in safety policies, procedures and follow WorkSafe BC standards.
To follow Personnel Policy and Manual.
Qualifications:
Previous experience preferred.
Supply tools required to complete tasks.
First Aid Level 1, preferred.
BC Drivers License and own vehicle
Must have the ability to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
Additional Requirements:
Completed criminal record check
Available Monday to Friday, and be able to work flexible hours as needed
