The successful candidate will have proven experience in concrete batching or a similar role. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, capable of working both independently and within a team environment. A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality are essential.
Job Description
Responsible for mixing specific components to make concrete
Knowledge of batching equipment, operations, and processes
Document, record, and monitor Batch Plant data
Maintaining and cleaning batch plants, mixers, carts, and aggregate systems
Communicate with the pouring crew, shop manages, and quality control crew
Follow instructions, procedures, and schedules as outlined in batch plant manuals, manufacture specifications, and safety manual
Safely operate overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment
Keep an adequate supply of batching materials
Assist QC personnel in concrete testing
Troubleshoot issues and report to the foreman or supervisor
Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
Requirements
Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process
Previous experience batching concrete or similar role
Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs
Familiar with the Canadian Standard Association
Able to work under minimal supervision
Physically fit to perform demanding work for extended periods
Able to lift at least 50lbs
Comfortable working at heights with proper safety restraints
Able to work independently or with a crew
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
Assets
Electronically and mechanically inclined, with strong troubleshooting skills
