Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for our part-time Liquor Clerk position in Wainwright. This is an evergreen posting advertisement for a position that we regularly hire for throughout the year. It is a way for Cornerstone Co-op to build a database of qualified, interested individuals so that the hiring process will be faster when there is a need to fill that type of role.

What you’ll do:
Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
Operate the Point-of-Sale system and processing customer transactions. Training will be provided if needed.
Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, and displaying. Follow opening and closing procedures.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
Process returns transactions efficiently.
Maintain checkout operations by adhering to policies and procedures.
Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping in the store.
Follow safety protocols at all times.
Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are:
You are 18 years of age or older.
You have Grade 12 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.
You have ProServe certification or are willing to complete it through AGLC after being hired.
You’re able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching, while staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight, and stocking shelves.
You’re action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
