We aim to revolutionize patient care by integrating this molecular-level knowledge into clinical practice.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled, product-oriented Senior Biomedical Scientist with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. As a key member of our scientific team, you will be responsible for spearheading research, validating biomarkers, and leveraging your deep expertise to drive the development of new insights and products. This role requires a professional with a passion for translational science and a deep understanding of human physiology and disease mechanisms. Your contributions will be critical in expanding our platform's capabilities, enhancing its scientific credibility, and improving patient outcomes through precision medicine.
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Scientific Operations
Responsibilities
Biomarker Research & Validation: You will lead the identification and validation of novel biomarkers relevant to various health conditions. This involves a rigorous two-level approach: first, meticulously mining and curating peer-reviewed literature to identify key biomarkers, and second, performing wet lab analysis to validate and optimize this information using statistical models.
Scientific Literature and Data Review: Stay at the forefront of precision medicine by conducting in-depth reviews of multi-omics research and AI-driven diagnostics. You will take the ownership of our proprietary database of biomarkers and ensure our risk models are informed by the latest scientific findings.
Scientific Communication: Take the lead in drafting and editing scientific materials, including whitepapers, research reports, and peer-reviewed publications. Your writing will be crucial for translating complex multi-omics data and AI-driven insights into accessible information for clinicians.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with our data science, bioinformatics, and clinical teams to develop and refine disease signatures and risk-scoring algorithms. Your work will support the development of actionable, personalized lifestyle interventions for patients.
Regulatory & Research Support: Assist in preparing scientific documentation for regulatory submissions, such as the FDA's De Novo device application for our Alzheimer's disease predictive test. You will also support grant writing and other research funding initiatives.
Scientific Leadership & Team Management: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of scientists, fostering a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
