Job Description and Responsibilities At Orion Steel, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). We are the largest North American producer by volume in the rail and large diameter pipe markets, and we hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods, small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets. We are looking for an experienced professional with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support our USA Operations. This position will be a key member of our Transactional Services Team by performing daily monitoring of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. Distribute daily Cash Sheet received from Treasury to the team based on business unit Review daily Positive Pay exceptions from various bank accounts Execute weekly payment run and report final numbers to Treasury Review and submit Vendor Change Request’s Reconcile Vendor statement issues and Customer Accounts Train new team members Enter printed checks in the appropriate bank portal Test department procedures Post subledger to general ledger Monitor invoices on hold Requirements 3-5 years of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables, ideally a combination of both Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; preferred Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with our Vendor and Customers Excellent computer skills to Excel and Microsoft Word Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
