As a member of the LEO SOC Satellite Operations team, the LEO Satellite
Operations Engineering Specialist will provide technical leadership for
engineering aspects related to development of the operations concepts,
procedures and processes to ensure effective in-orbit operations of all on-board
subsystems on the Lightspeed satellite bus, in order to maximize subsystem
health, performance and commercial availability. This includes working, in
collaboration, with others within the Satellite Operations team and other
Lightspeed segments to improve efficiencies, through innovation, across all
facets of in-orbit fleet operations.

- Works closely with the Lightspeed Space Segment team, support satellite
operations products operations concept development with the satellite
manufacturer;
- Leads development of satellite operations concept of operations (CONOPS) for
all phases of the Lightspeed mission; including LEOP, IOT, EOR, on-station
operations and end-of-life deorbit;
- Defines and develops satellite operational processes;
- Works collaboratively with the satellite manufacturer; leading the
development of satellite operations products within the procured Real Time
System (RTS);
- Supports Validation and Verification of Satellite Operations systems;
- Oversee the creation, coding, modification and maintenance of satellite
operating procedures
- Leads the development of automation for routine and contingency operations
and tracking of performance;
- Informs the design and implementation of satellite data trending analysis of
platform subsystems with a view to providing early detection of anomalous
behaviors or trends; including SDP development;
- Guides anomaly response and mitigation; ensuring that matters pertaining to
satellite subsystem health and operation are properly addressed and resolved;
