What You Will Do:
Ensure developer installed subdivision supplied materials and installation methods meet GrandBridge Energy’s specifications and perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance.
Inspect electrical facilities and equipment which is being placed for the GrandBridge Energy Underground General Tender
Inspect secondary services being placed under the GrandBridge Energy Secondary Service Tender
Provide “as built by contractor” drawings when work is completed on all underground jobs.
Perform final inspections and follow up on repairs/maintenance required on developer installed electrical plants, once they are energized, to commence the warranty period.
Perform Final Acceptance Inspection at the end of the warranty period on developer installed electrical plants and follow up on repairs/maintenance.
Inspect commercial and industrial electrical plants being placed by the developer.
Initiate and ensure GrandBridge Energy’s Underground General Tender jobs are completed within the specified time outlined in the tender.
Ensure GrandBridge Energy’s secondary services placed under the Secondary Services Tender are completed within the specified time outlined in the tender.
Obtain work permits from Municipalities for all underground jobs that require work on road allowances.
Determine from field measurements, the actual cost of work for billing and joint-use cost sharing on jobs carried out under the GrandBridge Energy’s Underground General Tender
Prepare invoices, check for accuracy, and assign to appropriate work order.
Liaison with GrandBridge Energy’s staff and consulting engineers for phasing, construction schedules, etc. for developer installed subdivisions.
Perform on-site inspections prior to the installations of the developer installed electrical plants and the secondary services. Give contractor approval to commence installation, if and when acceptable.
Enforce GrandBridge Energy’s safety practices on job sites with respect to traffic and personnel.

What You Will Bring
College 2-year diploma as an Engineering Technician.
Member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (C. Tech. or C.E.T.)
Valid driver’s license.
Three years’ experience with an electrical utility.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Fully understand all aspects of specifications regarding underground installations.
Must be able to use MS Office Suite and AutoCAD
Successful completion of Electrical Awareness Training Course and Trenching Safety & Awareness training course.
