Job Summary As the Manager of the IT Vendor Management Office (VMO), you will oversee all phases of the contract lifecycle for vendors in the IT department. Your primary role will involve managing relationships with vendors to optimize value for the organization and implementing best in class practices for effective IT vendor relationship management at IPEX. Responsibilities Establishes the Vendor Management function, including key cross-functional relationships that leverage the expertise of corporate procurement and legal services Oversees the development and measure of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for vendors Leads the initiation and adoption of new VMO operating model by establishing and executing organizational roadmap Ensures that vendor services are scalable to organizational growth Liaises with external vendors and personally supports the maintenance of strategic vendor relationships, providing governance and oversight for day-to-day operations Is consulted in the negotiation, preparation, and execution of contracts with IT suppliers. Manage vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics Work with the PMO and finance department to oversee the procurement budget Maintains relationship with global IT counterparts, bringing back insights regarding vendor relations to the North American IT organization Monitor and report on procurement spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Gathers key stakeholder input regarding needs, service delivery, and quality, to ensure business alignment in partnership with Procurement and legal Chairs a committee that evaluates vendor performance and reports issues to executive management and other key stakeholders Monitors progress to ensure that program objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and that anticipated business results are achieved Provides creative thought leadership to develop and deploy a strategic vision; connects and aligns vendor management program with strategic corporate goals Provides vision to define the Vendor Management operational and tactical plan, including key strategies, action items and metrics that are aligned with the overall business plan and objectives Maintains knowledge of current policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations that may affect vendors and clients Leads the implementation of a framework to support the development and ongoing maintenance and delivery of strong vendor relations Required Skills/Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or a related field. Relevant certifications are considered an asset - CPP (Certified Procurement Professional), CPPM (Certified Procurement and Purchasing Manager), CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management). Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to IT procurement. Agile, Lean and Scrum methodologies are a plus. Strong track record in managing procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software, and cloud-based solutions. Experience in implementing procurement policies and procedures.
