Absolute is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant with an interest in growing
their accounting career with a fast-paced cybersecurity company. This is a core
role on the accounting team and will work closely with various cross-functional
teams to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial
results. The role reports to an Accounting Manager and will learn how to process
core transactions, reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare financial reports,
analyze results, perform internal controls, and all other tasks involved in
global corporate accounting and treasury.
Your Impact
- Prepare monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in support of our monthly close
- Analyze various financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficient data processing and
reporting
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare various financial reports
- Assist with statutory reporting and audits
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP principles
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement analysis
- Support ad-hoc requests from internal stakeholders
- Support design, implementation, execution, and documentation of key controls
- Support NetSuite and Concur on-going improvement initiatives
- Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Accounting Certificate
- 0-2 years of experience, recent/upcoming graduate with internship experience
- Familiarity with financial statements
- Familiarity with basic accounting knowledge and concepts
- Familiarity with internal controls knowledge and concepts
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
- Good communicator able to convey and present information in a concise and
organized manner
- Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented self-starter with the
ability to think through problems
- Commitment to continuously seeking opportunities to improve productivity and
accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software applications
The base pay range for this position is from $55,000-62,000 annually; the base
pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our
total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for
our annual bonus program.
