Job DescriptionAs a Class 1 Local P&D Driver based in Athabasca, you will be responsible for: Conducting daily pick-up and delivery operations in the Athabasca area and surrounding regions, operating both straight trucks and day-cab vehicles on a Monday to Friday schedule, with a 4 am start time and occasional Saturday workEnsuring safety and compliance by performing thorough vehicle inspections, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery recordsEfficiently managing cargo, including loading, unloading, and securing freight using appropriate equipment and techniquesProviding excellent customer service and maintaining effective communication with dispatch, customers, and team membersContributing to operational efficiency through route optimization, vehicle maintenance, and participation in ongoing training and safety programs QualificationsClass 1 license with knowledge of hours of service, load securement, TDG, WHMIS, and forklift operationKnowledge of oilfield safety regulations requiredMinimum 2 years experience as a Class 1 driver with a clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)Reliable, dependable, and hard-working with strong time management and communication skillsKnowledge of the Athabasca area and willingness to relocateAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and operate GPS and mobile communication devicesMust provide criminal record check, driver abstract, and 2 work-related referencesFlexibility to work occasional overtime and Saturdays as neededCustomer service-oriented with a professional demeanorAdditional InformationWhat do we offer you?
