As directed by the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for all procurement activities, parts inventory, goods receiving and coordination / supervision of outside contractors for the maintenance department. The job will also include stockroom maintenance and control, where duties will mainly consist of organizing the stockroom, controlling inventory, and ensuring stock levels are adequate. This role will be responsible for their own personal objectives which support the department and factory vision, preventative practices, relationships with all departments, safety and levels of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery parts.
Effective communication skills and the ability to maintain solid relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and parties.
Audit and manage spare parts and inventory.
Oversee capital allocation, process invoices, and maintain documentation.
Work independently without direct supervision.
Plan and purchase repair materials in accordance with company policies.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to enhance parts room organization and workflows.
Support safety initiatives and ensure the timely completion of safety tasks.
Identify and suggest process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Industry experience in automotive, RV, or heavy-duty equipment is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to operate a forklift
Experience with ERP/SAP and CMMS systems preferred.
MMP certification or financial management training is an asset.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery parts.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Team-oriented with strong planning and time management abilities.
