Day (United States of America) Department: 100 - 820000 TG - Hospital Information Management Position Description: The HIM Floater will be responsible for floating to all sections within the HIM department as needed. These areas include imaging technician, release of information clerk, chart completion clerk, birth certificate clerk, and transcription clerk. Will also be responsible for conducting quality checks for each section including chart reviews and documentation reviews. Will organize work procedures and processes in supervisor's absence. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2. Adequate knowledge of Document Imaging and Scanning preferred. 3. One year of HIM experience in acute care hospital preferred. 4. Effective verbal and written communication skills preferred. 5. Proficient in computer technology and hospital information systems preferred. Job duties require the employee to bend and lift medical records. Weekend and holiday rotating shifts may be required.
