Job Description What is the opportunity? As the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition - Personal Banking and Commercial Banking, you will be the primary relationship manager for all talent acquisition activity to a wide range of business leaders in Western Canada. With a strong commitment to partnership and delivering on our organizational talent strategy, you will partner with Human Resource Business Partners and the local business market leaders to ensure best in class talent acquisition strategies are in place for each business and will lead all local market recruitment initiatives. You will also be accountable for the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruitment team by building their capability, and supporting and implementing new tools, programs and processes to ensure RBC’s continued competitiveness in the communities we serve. What will you do? Lead a recruitment team in an environment that focuses on best in class hiring manager and candidate experiences. Consult with business leaders to identify recruitment needs and create targeted and proactive recruitment strategies including segmented approaches where appropriate. Develop and implement customized and innovative talent acquisition strategies with a focus on future growth and development of talent. Ensure recruitment metrics are aligned with organizational objectives as well as manage recruitment performance against established key metrics. Provide accurate and timely reports and communications to management, hiring managers, and Human Resource Business Partners. Coach and counsel a team of talented and dedicated Recruiters and Recruitment Coordinators on a variety of items which include sourcing techniques, process improvement, recruitment strategies, and consulting capability. Demonstrate knowledge of current best practices in talent acquisition including leveraging technology, social media, and industry networks. Partner with Early Talent recruitment to support early career recruitment objectives and help deliver on student conversion goals. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 5+ years of recruitment experience at the corporate and/or agency level with a knack for utilizing effective sourcing strategies. 3+ years of people management experience, preferably leading a team supporting varying business units and/or functions. Experience providing expert advice and counsel in all areas of talent acquisition combined with a strong commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion. Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage conflicting demands. Strong communication and storytelling skills to bring our talent acquisition strategy to life both within the organization and the external market. Expertise in utilizing talent acquisition data, trends, and market intelligence to drive data-based decision making. Ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships, and influence and educate managers, executives and all relevant stakeholders. Nice-to-have: Demonstrated experience working within and/or supporting Personal Banking and Commercial Banking at RBC. Experience with Workday. Managing high volume recruitment efforts including developing and executing talent focused industry events. What’s in it for you?
