Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Private Chef for a Private residence in Montreal. This is
a full-time position, working 5 days a week from Wednesday to Sunday.
The hours will vary depending on the meals to be prepared. On weekdays, the focus is mainly on dinners served with occasional business breakfasts or
brunches. On weekends, both lunch and dinner are required. Applicants should
be flexible with their schedules and be available for weekends and holidays with
notice. Travel is an aspect of this position, so applicants must possess a Drivers
license.

You are a creative and highly organized culinary professional who is passionate about creating healthy, delicious meals. You are comfortable with a varied schedule that adapts to the family's needs and are proficient in managing all aspects of a private kitchen, from menu planning and grocery shopping to inventory and expense tracking. You are a responsible and discreet individual who can work independently and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily cooking required; preparing dinner, providing healthy creative delicious meals, snacks
Knowledge of different cuisines
Grocery shopping, knowledge of procuring fine, fresh ingredients
Menu planning, track and keep records of menus
Organizing food supply and kitchen inventory; tracking expenses for kitchen inventory
Preparing meals and storing them away safely
Maintain a clean kitchen and workspace daily
Applicant Qualities:
Demonstrated proficiency in English and French communication, alongside a polished professional presentation, to facilitate courteous and professional interactions principals, guests and staff
Weekends during the Summer seasons will be required
Red Seal Certified Chefs are encouraged to apply
Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
A valid, clean driver’s license is an asset
A valid passport is required for Travel
A degree or diploma from an accredited culinary institution is an asset
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
