Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative is a key member of our Sales & Marketing team, bridging customer support with dedicated inside sales. This role is responsible for driving sales by:
Converting inbound customer inquiries and qualified leads into completed sales.
Proactively making outbound calls to follow up on leads, nurture existing accounts, and expand business.
Building strong relationships with repeat B2B clients such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, clinics, pharmacies, and long-term care facilities.
Collaborating closely with outside sales representatives to ensure seamless account coverage and growth.
Driving loyalty and retention initiatives that ensure Healthcare Solutions remains the first choice for healthcare professionals and their clients.
This is a sales-focused position that combines enthusiasm, resilience, and relationship-building skills with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry.
Organizational Status
Reports to: Vice President of Sales
Collaborates with: Customer Support Specialists (CSS), Marketing, Operations, Distribution, and Outside Sales Representatives.
Hours & Work Environment
Hours: Full-time, variable; possible Saturday rotation
Environment: Office/call centre based, with high phone and CRM use; occasional in-store or B2B site visits.
Style: Team-based, collaborative, and metrics-driven environment.
Key responsibilities
Lead Conversion & Sales Growth
Take ownership of inbound referrals and qualified leads from CSS team, converting them into completed sales.
Conduct timely outbound follow-up on leads generated by marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and repeat customers.
Proactively contact B2B clients to expand accounts, introduce new products, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Partner with outside sales reps to coordinate larger opportunities and in-person support.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to departmental and company-wide goals.
Customer Loyalty & Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and high-value B2B accounts.
Act as a trusted resource to therapists, clinics, and care facilities by providing knowledgeable product support and proactive follow-up.
Identify upselling, cross-selling, and referral opportunities that strengthen account loyalty.
Support loyalty initiatives, customer retention programs, and service excellence standards across the sales team.
Collaboration & Alignment
Work hand-in-hand with Customer Support Specialists to create a seamless handoff from inquiry to sales closure.
Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to support campaigns, promotions, and outreach strategies.
Share customer insights and feedback with leadership to help improve service, product offerings, and processes.
Sales Strategy & Reporting
Record all customer touchpoints, sales activity, and pipeline movement in CRM daily (HubSpot/NetSuite).
Track follow-ups, quotes, and order fulfillment to ensure customer satisfaction.
Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline health, and new opportunities.
Required Skills & abilities
Proven ability to sell, convert leads, and close deals.
Comfortable making outbound calls and following up persistently with professionalism.
Strong relationship-building skills with both individual customers and B2B accounts.
Excellent communication skills: active listening, clear verbal presentation, and persuasive written communication.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads, accounts, and follow-ups simultaneously.
General proficiency with business software and customer management tools; experience with NetSuite, HubSpot, and Google Suite considered an asset.
Motivated by targets, metrics, and performance-based incentives.
Education & experience
2–3 years of sales, account management, or business development experience preferred.
Customer support/service experience is an asset, especially in healthcare, industrial supply, insurance, hospitality, or other relationship-driven industries.
Knowledge of healthcare products, funding programs, or medical sales is helpful but not required.
Resilient, eager-to-learn individuals with a history of meeting/exceeding sales targets will be strongly considered.
