Why this role is important? Why is this role important : Reporting directly to the Director, Pharmacy Operations and Innovation, the Senior Manager, Business Operations Development will provide leadership and work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure that new business platforms, systems, and programs are effectively operationalized in MediSystem and SDM LTC pharmacies. The Senior Manager will support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of related standard operating procedures, processes, protocols and work instructions where they pertain to the systems used. They will also lead the progressive strategy, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of current pharmacy systems, facilitating the relationship between enterprise systems support and Loblaw Technology and addressing all support critical issues and changes/updates to systems that influence LTC service delivery. You will oversee the development methods, guidelines, and policies to facilitate efficient service delivery and ensure all customer issues are satisfactorily resolved using Operations, Procurement and other teams as needed. What you'll do: Provides oversight to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility Business owner of enhancements and or changes made to current pharmacy systems as well as lead the development for newly identified systems Meet with potential vendors to investigate feasibility, operational implications/plans and workflow Lead the coordination of timelines and development efforts between vendors, facilitating access to all pertinent partners throughout the process Support creation of the operational/client workflow and ensure that it is documented in a clear and concise manner Organize and lead the testing and implementation process. Business SME for projects that influence LTC pharmacy systems and current/future operational workflow. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure that proposed business platforms, systems and programs can be operationalized in LTC pharmacies. Attend business meetings and working sessions pertaining to the project. Identify gaps and requirements that have to be addressed prior to approval/implementation Identify when the initiative has collisions with other initiatives and pharmacy activities Ensure that new/modified processes are clear and align with standard methodology to ensure that patient care and safety are retained. Lead the relationship between enterprise support and MediSystem business with respect to support critical issues and proposed updates to the LTC pharmacy systems Attend regular touch points with the enterprise support team to discuss ongoing support issues, identify knowledge gaps and learning opportunities for the team. Monitor the documentation used for support to ensure that it is up to date based on current operational processes and identify where new documentation needs to be created based on newly introduced processes. Collaborate with the Loblaw Technology delivery teams on updates that need to be pushed to LTC systems, align on what the changes mean to business/operations, review the testing that has been completed and identify any gaps where needed. Work with the team in creating the implementation plan and the resources needed. Facilitate ongoing cadence of touch points with direct reports Lead/coach team in establishing skills that will allow them to grow as individual contributors/leaders. Lead/coach team in developing/working on and successfully achieving yearly performance development and individual development goals Delegating project work and tasks directly to colleagues and providing different mechanisms in which used to keep the team visible to status and progress/work completed Manage operational and Technology expense budgets Support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of business-wide pharmacy standard operating procedures, processes, protocols and work instructions as they pertain to the pharmacy applications used Participate in the ongoing working discussions pertaining to the current and future proposed processes Identify process gaps that need to be addressed and, working with the CI team, identify enhancements to processes Work with applicable teams in piloting the change to mitigate operational risk and measure impact Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging What you'll need: This role requires a high level of initiative, analytical thinking, and sound judgment to effectively organize, prioritize, and follow through on tasks and workload. Proficiency in both English and French is required. Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ), or another Canadian Pharmacy regulatory body. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pharmacist is an asset. High level of experience in related pharmacy systems ie. AssistRx, Kroll, etc. Advanced knowledge in Technology and how it relates to the configuration and functionality within the applicable systems used. Experienced in performing user acceptance testing of new applications, upgrades to those applications and creating the applicable test cases needed to test the application fully based on the business processes Advanced knowledge in Microsoft suite of business applications Ability to productively work in a fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize tasks and respond in a timely manner Experience in managing support with respect to the pharmacy systems and identifying gaps that need to be addressed Experience in facilitating working sessions with applicable colleagues to transfer knowledge and or work through changes to business processes Strong negotiating and influencing skills to triage priorities with enterprise partners and business collaborators Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
