Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full-time (40 hours per week) permanent Deli Cook (NOC code: 63200) at our Food Store in Swan River, MB.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Deli Manager, the Deli Cook’s responsibilities will include the following:
Prepare and cook individual meals as well as large batches of food for quick service
Estimate and prepare quantities of food required
Maintain inventory and records of foods, supplies, and equipment
Assist in training, guiding, and mentoring team members
Observe and maintain sanitation standards and practices, maintain tools and equipment, and keep work area clean and neat
Ensure all food safety and food handling standards are strictly adhered to

Assist with other duties as assigned.

You have the capability to operate the required equipment within the Deli.
You have applicable training or experience - at least 6 months in a cook position, preparing and cooking food, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and monitoring inventory
You’re capable of physically demanding work: faced-paced, standing for extended periods of time, repetitive tasks, and frequent heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
