Job Description
AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Governance Coordinator. This role provides coordination, documentation, and reporting to strengthen decision-making forums, track escalations, and maintain transparency. Working closely with the Governance Lead, the Coordinator will prepare materials, manage action trackers, and support implementation of governance structures across the project.
Responsibilities:
Governance Support: Coordinate the preparation of meeting materials, decision logs, and action trackers for governance forums including the design of initial project templates.
Documentation & Control: Maintain records of decisions, approvals, and escalations, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
Reporting: Support the development of governance dashboards and reports that highlight progress, issues, and decision status.
Framework Alignment: Assist with implementation of governance processes, including Terms of Reference, RACI, and delegation of authority.
Issue Tracking: Log and monitor escalations, supporting timely review and resolution.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with client and project delivery team representatives to gather inputs and circulate outputs.
Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in governance processes and support refinements to improve efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in project coordination, governance, or project controls.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
Familiarity with governance frameworks, escalation processes, and decision-making structures.
Apt facilitation and communication skills to support report with undertaking scenario-based governance workshops.
Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools (e.g., SharePoint).
Proficiency with PowerBi an Asset
Measure of Success
Delivery of accurate, timely governance documentation and reporting.
Transparent tracking of escalations and decisions across governance forums.
Clear alignment of governance outputs with project frameworks and client requirements.
Effective support for governance forums, enabling timely and well-documented decisions.
Positive feedback from Governance Lead and stakeholders on responsiveness and accuracy.
