As a member of the health care team, assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the rehabilitation of inpatients and outpatients who have a variety of disabling conditions. In addition, assist with clerical and reception duties in the Rehabilitation Department.
- Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a recognized community college
- CPR/First Aid up to date
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of good physical body mechanics
- Knowledge of equipment, such as wheelchairs, surfaces, and other ADL equipment
- Working knowledge of InfoMed, MediTech, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant in a health care setting within the last two years
- Demonstrated ability to interact with patients, families, and co-workers in an effective, profession, positive, caring manner
