We're seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our wholesale and retail expansion efforts. This junior role is perfect for someone eager to dive into the pet industry, implementing proven strategies to connect our high-quality products such as collars, leashes, bandanas, and harnesses, with retailers worldwide. What You Will Do
Outreach and Implementation
- Execute provided outreach strategies by proactively contacting potential retailers, pet stores, veterinarians, and establishments via email, phone, and networking.
- Implement relationship-building plans to foster and maintain partnerships, including regular check-ins and personalized support.
Relationship Management and Feedback
- Collect feedback from partners on our products and services, sharing insights with the team to support continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day interactions using CRM tools to track progress, performance metrics, and opportunities.
Travel and Market Support
- Travel as needed (within reasonable limits and budget) to visit partners, attend trade shows, or conduct on-site meetings in target markets like Canada, the US, Europe, Australia, Korea, and Japan.
- Assist in expanding our reach by following market-specific guidelines, ensuring smooth communications and compliance basics.
Who We're Looking For
- You have 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development, ideally in retail, wholesale, or the pet industry.
- You're proactive, organized, and excited to implement strategies in a fast-paced setting.
- You possess strong communication skills for building rapport across cultures and regions.
- You're eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about animal welfare.
- You're comfortable with moderate travel and collaborating closely with our St. Thomas team.
Preferred: Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field; familiarity with CRM software.
