Tenure-Track Position in Information Systems Desautels Faculty of Management McGill University Position Summary McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management and the Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM) at McGill University invite applications for one open-rank (i.e., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) tenure-track position in the Information Systems Area. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026. The position is open to candidates with a Ph.D in Information Systems or related fields, as well as to applicants demonstrating outstanding potential who are doctoral students in those fields and plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2026. The position is open to candidates in any area of specialization within IS disciplines, with a preference for candidates whose research interests are in retail and relate to the faculty priority areas of Innovation, Analytics, AI & Advanced Digital Technologies, Sustainability, or Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. The Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM) at McGill University is a globally oriented, interdisciplinary hub for retail management research and education. As part of the Desautels Faculty of Management, BSRM offers programs at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and executive levels, and partners with leading industry organizations worldwide. An ideal candidate would contribute to the School’s research, teaching, and outreach goals, while also being affiliated with Information Systems. However, other candidates will be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advance a cutting-edge, compelling, and impactful research agenda. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching, an experience-appropriate record of research, and a clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top Information Systems journals, such as those listed on the Desautels 22. Successful candidates are also expected to work actively with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty.
