Your Opportunity The Calgary office is looking for an Administrative Team Lead to support the Assurance and Accounting service line of the larger Alberta group with day-to-day operations and various projects. The candidate would own the following responsibilities: · Oversee administration team · Act as a contact person in resolving operational issues as well as address any concerns for all administrative staff across the Alberta offices · Perform administrative tasks such as calendar management, draft various letter types, organize and manage client meetings · Coach, mentor and performance manage team members for continuous development · Coordinate staff schedules, vacations, etc to ensure proper coverage · Work with the team to continuously improve work processes · Leverage tools and technology · Lead or contribute on special projects How do we define success for your role? · You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration · You understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality work · You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients · You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent · You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace · You grow your expertise through learning and professional development. Your experience and education · Previous experience in professional service environment · Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business support or project coordination role in an international environment · Minimum 3 years of experience in team management · Advanced knowledge of MS Office, strong Excel knowledge is a must (e.g. pivot tables, macros) · Excellent level of English including verbal and written and proof reading, other languages a plus · Strong attention to details and number accuracy · Exceptional coordinating skills and the ability to manage and follow up a high volume of tasks and concurrent projects · Ability to work autonomously and to build effective working relationships with the team and within the network · Proactivity, show initiative and able to anticipate project needs · Committed and reliable · Enthusiastic and willing to work outside office hours if necessary · Ability to prioritize workloads and flexibility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines · You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills Why BDO?
