Job Description What is the opportunity? We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to oversee the management of our Participating Whole Life (PWL) insurance product line. The Director, PWL Product Management will play a critical role in driving product strategy, ensuring profitability, and maintaining the long-term sustainability of the participating account. The Director, PWL Product Management, will also execute on PWL governance work through leading PWL Governance Committee and oversee day to day management of this product. This role requires a deep understanding of life insurance, participating product mechanics, actuarial principles, and policyholder value, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in pricing, valuation, finance, distribution, risk management, and operations. What will you do? •Lead PWL Governance Committee consisting of key stakeholders across multi functions to monitor performance of this product, oversee dividend process to ensure fair treatment of PWL policyholders and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. Collaborate with actuarial teams on dividend scale management, surplus policies, and participating account management •Lead the strategic direction for the Participating Whole Life product portfolio to achieve profitability objectives. Deep dive into performance analysis on a needed basis •Oversee day to day product management activities, including but not limited to understanding key drivers of financials for this line of business and monitoring performance against KPI and coordinate with various stakeholders to address any concerns •Accountable for product related reporting and risk assessment to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements •Collaborate with internal and external partners including product development, product enablement, pricing, sales, marketing, IT and digital •Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. Promote data-driven decision making and continuous improvement in product processes What will you need to succeed? •10+ years of progressive experience in life insurance product management, actuarial, or related roles •Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or FSA designation preferred •Strong understanding of actuarial concepts, participating product mechanics, and dividend scale management. Demonstrated success in profitability management for participating or permanent life products •Proven leadership experience managing complex product portfolios and cross-functional teams.
