Job Description: Within a multidisciplinary team provides professional leadership as a speech and language pathologist in the development and process of clinical consultative services with the Kids First Program and the children and families they serve.

Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Licenses
Licensed or eligible for licensure with Saskatchewan Association of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Experience
Clinical experience in a child community setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
Knowledge of infant and preschool development
Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
Knowledge of models of assessment and therapeutic interventions appropriate for the treatment of children's speech and language diagnoses and the inter-related emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, socialization and behavioral problems with at risk populations
Knowledge of aboriginal culture, values and traditions and their impact on accessing formal/mental health services
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, the Family Services Act and the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery
Knowledge of community resources

Ability to design, conduct and evaluate educational and training opportunities related to speech and language disorders in preschool children to various targeted audiences

Other Information
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
This position is currently located at Al Ritchie Heritage Community Health Centre, 1550 - 14th Avenue (subject to change).
