Position Title: Financial Analyst, Individual Wealth
Reports To: Director, Individual Wealth Finance
Department: Individual Wealth Finance and Actuarial
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing policyholder taxation, producing annual tax slips, and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial reporting requirements.

What you will be doing:
Daily banking: Monitor and reconcile daily banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Month-End Account Reconciliations: Prepare and review account reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting and compliance
Accounts Payable and Employee Expenses: Process vendor invoices and employee expense claims, ensuring adherence to company policies
Support for Tax Related Tasks: Assist with the preparation and review of tax-related documentation and filings
Month-End and Year-End Processes: Contribute to monthly and annual financial close activities
Ad Hoc Inquiries and Support: Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing financial data and analysis as needed to support decision making
What you will bring:
Post-secondary education with emphasis on accounting and business administration
1-3 years relevant experience, preferably in life insurance
Proficient with general accounting concepts
Bilingual proficiency in French (reading, writing, and speaking) is an asset.
