Your role As the Project Lead for the News Production department, you will focus on ensuring the efficiency, compliance and optimal management of operations related to our vehicle fleet, transportation and technical equipment. You are the key player who plans and co-ordinates the necessary resources to meet constant production demands, while maintaining strict administrative and operational oversight. You will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating requests from the vehicle management, transportation and technical equipment units. Your role involves efficiently planning and organizing vehicle maintenance and repairs, and acting as a liaison with external service providers and various internal partners. You will actively manage booking and usage requests for vehicles and equipment, always striving to optimize resource allocation and control costs. You will also be responsible for providing technical resources and managing rental needs, ensuring adherence to the budget and the department’s operational requirements. You will contribute to the efficiency and optimization of vehicle fleet activities, helping establish processes and procedures to ensure the smooth operation, optimization and compliance of both departments. This includes managing access requests and authorizations for fleet usage, as well as co-ordinating user training. This position also involves assisting with financial tracking and user support. You will work closely with production teams, technical producers and supervising technicians to co-ordinate requests for technical equipment. You will serve as the go-to resource for your department and co-ordinate priorities for the equipment assistant. This will involve working closely with the local fleet co-ordinator, the fleet mechanic, technical producers and various internal units (procurement, users, technicians, etc.) to meet operational needs. You will also prepare the required forms, correspondence, documents and reports (including statistics and activity reports) to ensure necessary follow-up. Your ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and provide essential resources within the established budgetary framework will be crucial to your success in this role. Job Requirements A) Qualifications: College diploma (DCS) in a related field. Three or more years’ experience in planning, co-ordination and logistics. Knowledge of technical equipment used in TV and radio production. B) Skills: Strong ability to manage stress and competing priorities. Leadership and client focus. Ability to be self-reliant, proactive, efficient and versatile. Excellent work planning, co-ordination and organization skills. Excellent abilities in administration and data analysis. Collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving. Ability to embrace change and champion it in your work. Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple competing requests, sometimes under pressure. Ability to be thorough. Communication skills focused on customer service, action and rapid problem-solving. Flexibility and availability. Strong proficiency in French (spoken and written). Good knowledge of English is an asset. Strong proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong proficiency with Google Workspace. Class 5 driver’s license.
