Job Description
We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team in Lévis, Quebec, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. As a Burner-Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting metal plates using an oxyfuel cutting system.
What you’re responsible for:
Inspect equipment at the start of each shift
Ensure equipment is in good working order and report any anomalies to your immediate supervisor
Analyze the work environment before using the torch to cut oversized metal parts according to department requirements
Proceed with dismantling while respecting the integrity of the metals in order to maximize their value
Keep the premises clean at all times
Perform any other related tasks as requested
Qualifications
To join our team:
You have at least two years of experience in metal cutting
You have a good knowledge of metals (an asset)
You are well aware of occupational health and safety (OHS) rules
You are in good physical condition and have good manual skills
You are independent, methodical, and proactive
You are diligent, conscientious, and demonstrate good judgment in your work
You are comfortable working in a noisy, dusty environment exposed to variable outdoor conditions (heat or cold)
