Job Description
As the first point of contact, our Hosts set the tone for the guest experience with a warm, professional, and welcoming presence. They ensure smooth front-of-house operations by managing guest flow, maximizing seating efficiency, and communicating clearly with all team members. Through attention to detail and exceptional hospitality, Hosts leave a lasting impression on every guest.
The Day-to-Day:
Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in person and over the phone, even during high-volume periods
Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain optimal guest flow and seating rotation
Greet and escort guests to their tables while engaging in friendly, professional conversation
Accurately take and manage reservations both in person and over the phone
Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
Develop a strong understanding of the floor plan, including table numbers and section layouts, to seat guests efficiently
Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
Valid Smart Serve Certification Required
Proven prior experience in a similar position for at least 6 months
High attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, restaurant experience considered an asset
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
