Position Title: Server

Job Summary: Server will provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This individual serves food and alcoholic beverages, promote menu items, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure guests enjoy a safe and welcoming dining experience. This individual will be responsible for table service, POS transactions, light cleaning, and preparation for daily operations and special events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver professional and friendly table service for food and beverage orders, including alcoholic drinks
Greet guests, take orders, and enter them accurately into the Point of Sale (POS) system
Promote and describe daily specials and menu items to enhance guest experience
Maintain a clean and organized service area, bar, and dining room at all times
Perform opening, closing, and side duties including stocking, prepping condiments, and setting tables
Accurately handle cash, credit, and POS transactions, including nightly lock-up duties
Monitor and replenish bar inventory (e.g., alcohol, garnishes, supplies)
Assist with special event preparation including table setup, cutlery roll-ups, and decoration
Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, complaints, or special requests
Maintain compliance with all liquor licensing regulations and public health standards
Follow food safety practices for handling, storage, and sanitation
Support other departments as needed, depending on operational demands
Attend all required pre-season and in-season training
Key Qualifications:
Smart Serve Certification (required)
Previous serving or hospitality experience (asset)
Safe Food Handling Certificate (REG 493) is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team
Able to handle high-pressure and fast-paced environments with professionalism
Comfortable with repetitive lifting (up to 45 lbs / 20.4 kg) and standing for long periods
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to providing outstanding guest service
Able to complete physically demanding duties as required
Bilingualism is considered an asset

Passionate about the recreation, hospitality, or food and beverage industry
Approachable, empathetic, and customer-focused
Must be flexible with scheduling – including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage
Must provide your own uniform in compliance with Chicopee’s uniform policy
