Coach Positions:
Coaching at Chicopee is an incredible experience. We are currently looking to fill coaching positions in our U8, U12, U14, U16/ U19 programs as well as our Adult House League. These positions run during the week and weekend from January – March. There are opportunities to coach during the pre-season at our dryland training as well at our Slalom camp. We provide many opportunities to develop your own coaching skills as well as help you achieve your own coaching goals throughout the season.

Position Title: Coach, Snow School (Seasonal)
Department: Recreation – Snow School
Reports to: Manager, Race Programs or designate

Job Summary: The Snow School Coach will provide racing instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels in a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. They will deliver high-quality coaching focused on skill development, confidence-building, and a passion for racing, all while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, effective racing instruction tailored to various age groups and abilities.
Maintain up-to-date certifications and adhere to all teaching and safety standards.
Keep accurate and organized records of lessons, including attendance and plans.
Communicate effectively with students and parents to ensure high levels of satisfaction and feedback.
Ensure participant safety at all times through risk management and situational awareness.
Be punctual and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
Attend all required pre-season corporate and department training sessions.
Participate in ongoing on-snow and professional development opportunities.
Actively work towards achieving higher levels of certification.
Support other departments as needed, based on operational demands.
Qualifications:
Certified and in good standing with the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF / AOA); membership dues paid.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically capable of lifting up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs) and performing physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Bilingualism is considered an asset.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for snow sports and instruction.
Additional Requirements:
A strong passion for the recreation industry and desire to share that with others.
Approachable, empathetic, and a strong listener.
Flexibility with work schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and occasional travel for away races.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions.
Provide your own black snow pants (no visible logos) and a personal ski/snowboard helmet certified under one of the following: CSA Z263.1, ASTM F2040, EN 1077, or Snell RS 98.
A Chicopee uniform jacket will be provided with a $100 refundable deposit and signed Uniform Agreement.
The following qualifications are considered an asset: PSIC (Professional Ski Instructors of Canada), CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance), CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors)
