Position Title: Snowmaker (Seasonal)

Job Summary: Snowmakers are a critical part of Chicopee’s winter operations, responsible for safely and efficiently operating snowmaking equipment to ensure optimal snow coverage and surface quality across the property. This individual lalso assist with grounds keeping and facility maintenance to keep the resort in excellent condition for our guests.
This seasonal position requires physical stamina, a strong safety mindset, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions—often during overnight or irregular shifts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate snowmaking equipment including air/water guns, fan guns, hydrants, hoses, and compressors.
Monitor weather conditions and adjust equipment accordingly for efficient and safe snow production.
Perform routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting on snowmaking systems and related machinery. Complete start-up and shutdown procedures
Work outdoors in varied and extreme winter weather conditions, including nights, weekends, holidays and variable weather conditions.
Operate snowmobiles, tracked and utility vehicles as required; accountable for their use and condition during your shift
Collaborate with grooming and lift operations to coordinate hill preparation.
Maintain a high standard of safety for yourself, team members, and guests.
Complete daily reports/logs and communicate effectively with team leads and other departments.
Support other departments as required by operational needs
Adhere to all uniform standards and represent Chicopee professionally
Required to perform any outside maintenance that is needed.
Required to maintain the exterior of the building (painting, washing, and repairing where needed).
Assist in the snow removal around the property.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Comfortable working long hours in extreme cold and varying weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting up to 45 lbs (20.4 kg) repeatedly and performing physically demanding tasks
Mechanically inclined (experience with tools, motors, or systems is an asset)
Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
Customer service mindset and team-oriented attitude
Snowmobile or tracked vehicle experience is an asset
Additional Requirements:
Passion for outdoor recreation and winter sports
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must provide required uniform components in compliance with Chicopee's uniform policy
A Chicopee Uniform Jacket will be provided upon a $100 refundable deposit and signed Uniform Agreement You are passionate about the recreation industry and eager to share that passion with others.
