Position Title: Bartender

Job Summary: Bartenders are be responsible for preparing and serving beverages in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This role is expected to know standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately while adapting to individual guest preferences. It is a critical role in ensuring responsible alcohol service, guest safety, and creating a welcoming, positive atmosphere for all patrons. This position may require flexibility to assist in other areas of food and beverage operations as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer specifications
Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a high level of service at all times
Take beverage orders, serve drinks promptly, and process payments accurately
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including wiping counters, cleaning bar tools, and washing glassware
Arrange bottles and barware neatly and ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times
Clean up after guests and reset bar area for the next service period
Prepare garnishes such as slicing fruit for drinks
Set up and close down bar areas according to established procedures
Complete all required daily log sheets and checklists accurately
Remove empty bottles, replace beer kegs, and dispose of waste following proper safety procedures
Assist with basic food service if required based on business volume or staffing needs
Required to determine when a customer has had too much alcohol, stop serving and ensure a safe ride home is arranged.
Support other departments as needed, depending on operational demands
Attend all required pre-season and in-season training
Key Qualifications:
Smart Serve Certification (required)
Previous serving or hospitality experience (asset)
Safe Food Handling Certificate (REG 493) is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team
Able to handle high-pressure and fast-paced environments with professionalism
Comfortable with repetitive lifting (up to 45 lbs / 20.4 kg) and standing for long periods
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to providing outstanding guest service
Able to complete physically demanding duties as required
Bilingualism is considered an asset

Passionate about the recreation, hospitality, or food and beverage industry
Approachable, empathetic, and customer-focused
Must be flexible with scheduling – including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage
Must provide your own uniform in compliance with Chicopee’s uniform policy
