The Field Technician is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of field-level tasks and responsibilities. This position is responsible for safely performing any field-related tasks, as requested by the Field Service Manager.
Must have at least 6 months Completions or Production experience in the Oil Field
Will train the right individual.
Responsibilities
Field-Level Duties
Report to duty at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure, to allow enough time to prepare truck and gear
Assist with equipment transfers as required
Connect with client representatives prior to departure from the shop, unless otherwise ordered by the Field Service Manager
Complete all required pre-job safety paperwork, including pre-job hazard assessment, job safety assessment (JSA), pre-job vehicle inspection, and pre-job equipment checklist
Use navigation tools to locate client worksites
Safely install, troubleshoot, and retrieve Abra equipment from the well-head as required
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services
Client and Community relations
Always adhere to the company’s code of conduct
Always engage with clients and community members with respect and professionalism
Shop Management
Assist the Field Service Manager with the completion of pre and post job duties, including preparing vehicles (fueling, loading, etc.), testing equipment, returning vehicles (cleaning), and cleaning equipment
Assist in general housekeeping of the shop, including sweeping floors, taking out garbage, putting away PPE
Return vehicles to shop and unload of equipment (job equipment, PPE, phone chargers, GPS, handheld tools, etc.) following the job
All trucks must be washed (particularly the wheel wells) following each shift
Gear should be placed in the appropriate spots (ex. damaged gear goes on the “red tag” shelf, batteries to the charging stations, etc.)
Broken/damaged gear must be red-tagged and set aside – notify Field Service Manager immediately
Trucks must be refueled prior to returning to the shop
Assist with inventory tracking and logs, as required
Other Responsibilities
Record and maintain all required logbooks and other paperwork requirements daily
Accurately track and record time on the Time Sheet and submit to the Field Service Manager by required deadlines
Health, Safety, and Environment
Promote a healthy and safe work environment for all workers, clients, community members, and other stakeholders
Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings with all staff members
Ensure all Safety Training Certificates are valid and available for presentation at all times
Actively participate in the Health and Safety Management system, and performs all duties and tasks related to the Field Technician position, as defined by Company policy and procedure
Ensure all legal and regulatory compliance with relevant laws and regulations
