Medical Administrative Assistant — Remote
Support national disability claims processing in a fully remote, detail-driven administrative role within the insurance industry. This full-time position involves document review, risk analysis, and client communication auditing. Bilingual fluency, strong organization skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $17.78, based on experience.
• 14-month contract with possibility of being extended.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Remote work flexibility, based on Eastern Time.
• Work hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 am to 7 pm.
• Work hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
Responsibilities:
• Review and assess risk for outgoing communications to ensure compliance with privacy protocols and client-specific guidelines.
• Provide written feedback to Case Managers and leadership teams regarding communication discrepancies.
• Track and analyze communication trends to support process improvement.
• Monitor and manage group email inboxes to meet turnaround and quality expectations.
• Support additional administrative tasks such as tool referrals, invoice processing, and email management.
What you will need to succeed:
• Post-secondary education (college or university level).
• 0–2 years of relevant administrative or office experience.
• Bilingual in English and French to support clients in both languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to apply critical judgment and problem-solving to resolve issues independently.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal social interaction and within a team setting.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage high volumes and competing deadlines.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Disability management or group benefits knowledge is an asset.
• Background in a health-related field or administrative office setting is an asset.
