About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the Clinical Manager, Innovation, reporting to the Director of Innovation, oversees the deployment of new healthcare solutions and programs to modernize care and improve patient experience in Nova Scotia. This role combines clinical expertise, strategic collaboration, and relationship-building with internal departments, government, industry, and academic partners to support the launch and sustainability of innovative services. Additionally, the manager leads continuous improvement efforts, ensures compliance with standards, and fosters a learning and research environment aligned with organizational goals.
Planning and Systems Performance Overview:
- Strategic Planning: Lead development and implementation of innovative solutions and services in clinical research, manage projects, coordinate with partners, and conduct market analysis.
- Commercialization & Industry Liaison: Build partnerships to secure funding and investments, ensure legal compliance, and support revenue generation.
- Leadership & Talent Development: Mentor teams, align research with strategic goals, foster a diverse and engaged workforce, and support leadership growth.
- Communication & Stakeholder Relations: Develop communication strategies to elevate NS Health’s research profile, manage relationships with government, philanthropy, and academic partners.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate Degree in health-related field along with a Clinical Designation
- Master’s in Business Administration considered an asset (not required)
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a frontline clinical setting.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in management and supervision of personnel.
- Experience in government relations specific to research and innovation and health.
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder initiatives and projects and with stakeholder liaison and management.
- Experience in the local health sciences research environment is a definite asset.
- Business planning and budget management experience.
- Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of an organization.
- Experience in project management principles and implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of policy impact and development.
- Knowledge of health care organizations and the health sector.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and interact with all clients in scope.
- Ability to build engagement among peers and business leaders to support new strategies and change management.
- High level of competence in both written and verbal communication.
- Experience working with diversity of staff and stakeholders, with knowledge of cultural competence, diversity and social inclusion.
- Sound knowledge of information systems and financial management.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits
$46.36 - $57.94 Hourly
