Position: Senior SAP Basis Consultant – SAP Cloud Managed Services (RISE with SAP)
Location: [CA]Reporting to: SAP COE - Global Basis Director
Role Objective
Provide expert support in SAP Basis operations and technical coordination between customers and SAP, ensuring performance, security, and availability of platforms under the RISE with SAP model. This role covers both proactive and reactive monitoring activities, incident handling, and customer requirement coordination within the AMS shared model.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Basis Operations
Manage general SAP NetWeaver operations.
Monitor and optimize system performance (Performance Management & Monitoring).
Handle SAP Client Operations.
Execute SAP Homogeneous System Copies.
Manage Output Management.
- SAP Application Operations
Perform critical application monitoring.
Administer and monitor interfaces (Interface Administration & Monitoring).
Manage the Change and Transport System (CTS).
Configure and maintain job scheduling (lite).
Manage user administration and roles (PFCG, profiles, user lifecycle).
- Technical Security
Manage SAP vulnerability assessments (SAP Vulnerability Management).
Perform SAP system hardening services (SAP Hardening Service).
- SAP Cloud Coordinator Activities
Maintain interactive technical coordination between customer and SAP.
Manage service requests (Service Request Management).
Handle incidents (Incident Management) and validate requests/incidents.
Address specific customer requirements.
Coordinate application, security, infrastructure, and ALM activities.
Handle complete managed services for non-SAP systems provisioned by SAP.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP Basis administration in complex environments.
Proven track record with NetWeaver, HANA, Solution Manager, and hybrid (Cloud & On‑Premise) architectures.
Knowledge of RISE with SAP and tools such as SAP Cloud ALM (cALM) and Solution Manager (SOLMAN).
Experience in vulnerability management, technical security, and SAP hardening.
Expertise in transport management, job scheduling, and interface monitoring.
Ability to coordinate technical activities between customer, SAP, and internal teams.
Professional English proficiency (spoken and written).
