You are the face of our renowned dining experience, representing the world-class cuisine and impeccable service that define the Fairmont brand. With genuine warmth, keen attention to detail, and expert knowledge of our culinary and beverage offerings, you’ll create memorable, personalized experiences for every guest. What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering thoughtful, professional, and sincere service, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued
Assisting guests with food and beverage selections, offering informed and engaging recommendations
Demonstrating expert knowledge of the full menu, including ingredients, garnishes, preparation methods, and allergens
Possessing detailed understanding of our beverage offerings, including wine varietals, regions, pairings, and seasonal promotions
Ensuring proper communication of dietary restrictions and allergies to kitchen and service teams
Maintaining exceptional service standards, safety practices, and cleanliness at all times
Managing accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail
Preparing and maintaining mise en place and side stations for seamless operations
Supporting private dining functions, including room setup, service, and breakdown
Collaborating with colleagues and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
Assisting with bussing, table resets, food running, and operating specialty coffee equipment as needed
Completing additional tasks as assigned to contribute to overall guest satisfaction and team success
Qualifications
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:
1-2 years of serving experience in a luxury hotel or an upscale dining setting
A service-driven approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Serving It Right certification (required)
Professional fluency in spoken and written English
Proven ability to remain calm and guest-focused in high-pressure environments
Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
A team-first attitude with a collaborative spirit
Impeccable grooming and professional presentation
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems (an asset)
A warm, sincere, and personalized approach to guest interactions
Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full duration of the season (November 2025, to January 8, 2026)
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent climbing of stairs, ladders, and ramps
Occasional lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Dexterity and strength to support food-serving duties (e.g., carrying multiple plates)
