A Day in the Life Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager or Marketing Manager, the Product Manager is responsible for the overall downstream product management activities including the planning, coordination and execution of the marketing and sales support programs. The Product Manager also serves as a liaison between the Sales Force, the business unit leadership team, Strategic Marketing and Sales & Marketing Operations in the following areas: new product launch and sales support activities, portfolio management and marketing programs. This is a fixed term contract, expected to be approximately 12 months to cover a leave. This role is based out of Brampton, Ontario office. MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned): • Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line. • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience. • Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements. • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle. • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications. • Provides advertising with core brand equity. • Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues. • Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) • Plans and implements Product launch excellence for new technologies and key products. • Executes short-term tactical marketing initiatives including Sales Force training. • Performs Sales Force Voice of Customers (VoCs) and surveys. • Manages Sales Force Q&A coordination and intelligence gathering. • Responsible for creating and updating marketing collaterals. • Serves as contracts, tenders and RFP activities marketing representative. • Monitors competitive products and activities including pricing cross-reference information. • Responsible for new product introduction (NPI) creation. • Responsible for regulatory submission prioritization, submission and tracking. • Manages demo and loaner pool, and responsible for coordination of product evaluations with the sales team. • Supports field activities such as product upgrades, evaluations and conversions. • Responsible for hardware sales programs coordination (if applicable). • Responsible for key conferences, clinical education and customer events support. • Performs new products quarterly forecasts. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION • Bachelor’s degree or • Advanced degree • Degree in marketing, business administration or health science JOB EXPERIENCE • Minimum 2 years relevant experience required with a bachelor’s degree or • No minimum years of relevant experience required with an advanced degree. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES • Accountable for results • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills • Ability to work very well independently and participate as a key member of a team • Ability to interact and cope with multiple stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills •Available to travel up to 40% of the time.
