Your role consists of managing the ratemaking of Commercial Automobile products in Ontario, Atlantic, Western (OAW) region, which includes responsibilities related to risk segmentation and managing the overall level of rates as well as collaborating on business solutions with various stakeholders. The section manager will have a key role in developing talent and managing people in his or her team of actuarial professionals. The section manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the business plan, and overseeing activities supporting the organization's strategic orientations. More specifically, you will be required to: Work closely with other business sectors in the executive division and Desjardins Group. Ensure the development, implementation, and monitoring of an action plan for its administrative unit, in line with the strategic orientations of the company and integrated with the other administrative units, in a context of performance management and ambition to grow commercial lines significantly. Implement management and communication practices that promote change management, skills development, mobilization, talent retention and diversity, consistent with the company's values. Ensure the effective and efficient management and use of resources and processes on an ongoing basis, in a rigorous results-oriented, quality of service and customer-oriented approach. Establish and implement rating strategies for commercial lines commercial automobile in OAW, through risk segmentations, management of the overall rate level and the evolution of the rating structure. Analyze experience and monitor the market to dynamically adjust pricing. Work with the relevant regulators on implementing changes. Provide actuarial advice and expertise to the analysts of the team in the realization of business projects in a mixed role of coaching and quality assurance, as well as to other sectors of the company for actuarial matters.
