Why we have this role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Shift Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Cambridge. This role plays a critical part in leading our afternoon shift operations at the Main Street production facility.
The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the people and processes on their shift, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Working with us:
This is a permanent, full-time position operating out of our production facility at 486 Main Street, Cambridge, Ontario. This is a consistent afternoon shift position with the regular working hours being Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
What you'll do:
Provide day-to-day leadership for the afternoon production shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Supervise production and loading employees, fostering a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work culture.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate workflow to meet production targets and quality standards.
Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, CFIA, and all company safety and quality protocols.
Oversee the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of shift employees.
Monitor employee attendance, break schedules, and productivity.
Enforce workplace policies, including PPE compliance and uniform standards.
Maintain accurate production records, ensure timely order fulfillment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate inventory and supply needs promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Your background includes:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
5+ years of hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
3–5 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of HACCP, CFIA, and quality control standards.
Proficient with computer-based batching systems and related production software.
Valid G-class driver’s license and forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down).
Physically capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and performing manual tasks.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and performance.
