Torc's Autonomy Applications software utilizes cutting-edge deep learning techniques to perceive the vehicle's environment, predict the movements of other vehicles, and execute accurate driving decisions. We are actively seeking highly experienced ML 1 engineers to join our model development department. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to have a significant impact on the future of the autonomous vehicle industry by leveraging AI.
What you'll do
Develop and optimize our Gen AI architectures
Implement model-architectures for Neural Rendering
Improve our Gen AI – driven scenario generation pipeline
Improve our simulation stack using Gen AI
Contribute to framework and infrastructure for our Gen-AI stack
Develop efficient pipelines for large-scale data pre-processing and analysis.
Implement data augmentation, synthetic data generation, and domain adaptation strategies to improve model robustness.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with robotics, software, and simulation engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of our Gen AI stack.
Work with product and operations teams to define performance metrics and improve system reliability.
What you’ll need to Succeed
Master's degree with 2-3+ years of experience or PhD level education (in progress PhD is accepted)
Scientific understanding of Generative AI.
Scientific understanding of machine learning for at least one of the following
3D BEV space modeling
Actor prediction
Learned trajectory planning
Autonomous driving end to end modeling
Multimodal multitask machine learning
Calibration, odometry, localization
Object Detection & Tracking
Experience with understanding data distributions and analyzing long tail distributions
Mastery of Python and PyTorch, with the ability to transition research level code to production and deployment ready standards
Bonus points!
Proficiency with Ray.
Scientific contributions in the field of Gen AI
Knowledge of English is required since the selected candidate will need to collaborate daily with English-speaking colleagues in the United States and work with technical documentation written exclusively in English.
