Maintenance Technician with Electrical Experience
1 Position - Tuesday - Friday 6 am - 4:30 pm
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing, Maintenance & Project Management, this person will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the efficient operation of all plant equipment.
Repairing and maintaining all types of production equipment and tooling.
Supporting and driving the implementation of any improvement initiatives.
Participate and support the implementation of any new equipment.
Develop, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance program for production equipment and buildings to ensure that planned preventive repairs are scheduled in accordance with production schedules.
Overseeing and directing, as required, plant projects, including those involving outside contractors.
Ensuring that the plant is in compliance with Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations.
Responsible for updating and maintaining the plant maintenance software.
Carry out other tasks as assigned by the plant & manufacturing senior manager
Must work strictly in compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in maintaining industrial equipment.
A solid understanding of electrical principles, wiring, circuits, and electronic components.
Basic knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, voltmeters, and thermal scanners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and documenting work.
Meticulous attention to detail for tasks like documentation and following schematics.
Understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work and automated systems
Strong hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting, PLC and plant electrical.
Knowledge of electrical and comfortable working with 575V and under
Working knowledge of MS Office,
Must be familiar with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures

Ability to speak effectively to subcontractors or employees of the organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and work under pressure
Ability to work independently and also as a team
Requires good judgment and a professional demeanour
Ability to operate a forklift
Familiar with plant operation and equipment
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, pull, kneel, and climb and sometimes may be required to work in an uncomfortable position. This employee is also subjected to lifting and bending—approximately 75% of the day. The maintenance millwright will frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
