Summary:
The Front-End DZ Driver is responsible for safely operating Front-Load collection vehicles and ensuring timely service across York Region and the GTA. This role requires flexibility, a clean driving record, strong knowledge of local roads, and the physical ability to handle containers. Excellent communication, customer service, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities:
In the position of Front-End DZ Driver. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The safe and efficient operation of Front-Load trucks.
Must have excellent knowledge of and be familiar with the roads in the York Region/GTA roads and surrounding areas.
Ensure customers are serviced as per their contractual requirements and schedules.
Physical ability to safely push and pull various sizes and weights of containers in and out of enclosures and rooms.
Unlocking and locking of containers and enclosures/rooms.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations through proven results.
Comply with all Miller Waste System and Provincial health and safety policies and procedures.
During some periods you will be required to assist with driving for residential collections.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Must have a valid DZ Driver’s Licence.
A clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR, is a necessity.
Organizational skills should be exceptional.
A minimum of 1 year of Front-End experience is a must.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Flexibility and work schedule should coincide with necessary start and end times.
Working overtime, Saturdays and Statutory Holidays is a must.
Effective written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
Must maintain excellent attendance and performance record.
